Opportunity Description:
Core Middle East (CME) is offering a Volunteer Opportunity in Public Relations. Core Middle East is looking for volunteers to work with it in the Public Relations department to organize and oversee PR activities and ensure effective communication with other organizations and the public. PR involves maintaining a positive public image of CME.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Build up the agency image.
- Maintain a calendar of outreach activities, including community events, workshops, appearances and other communication opportunities.
- Nurture new and old relationships with collaborative partners.
- Plan publicity strategies and campaigns.
- Write and produce presentations and press releases.
- Respond to inquiries from the public, the press, and related organizations.
About CME:
Core Middle East News Organization (CME) is an independent online news publication, educational resource, and a hub for all peace activities and supporters of Palestine. It mainly focuses on Palestinian situations and generally on Middle East issues. It provides news, analysis and stories from the front lines regarding the struggle for Palestinian human rights.
Eligibility criteria:
- No experience is required.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Knowledge of media production and communication.
- Respond well under pressure with a strict time limit.
- Quick and enthusiastic learner.
- Ability to accept constructive criticism.
