Campus life

1. Bloomington-Normal Campus

Full of mid-western charm, Illinois State’s campus is designed to be extemely walkable with buildings positioned around a central green space. Known as The Quad, this open area is a popular site on campus for students to meet up and enjoy some sunshine. It is also the home of several special events and concerts and campus organizations often set up tables with games and information. Near campus, you can enjoy the charming cities of Bloomington-Normal. With bike-friendly roads and many locally owned shops, restaurants, and art venues, there is a lot to explore in Bloomington-Normal. The campus is also located two hours from Chicago, one of the largest and most popular cities in America. Illinois State enjoys all four seasons with lush greenery in the Spring, Autumn leaves in the Fall and beautiful white snow in the winters.

Scholarships

1.Undergraduate – International Admissions Scholarships:

$4,000 ($1,000 per year with 3.0 GPA)

$8,000 ($2,000 per year with 3.5 GPA)

• Renewable annually for four years or through the length of the student’s original study plan, if student maintains a cumulative 2.75 GPA
• Minimum 3.0 GPA for $1,000 per year
• Minimum 3.5 GPA for $2,000 per year

2.Undergraduate – Presidential Scholarship:

Up to $44,000 ($11,000 per year)

• Apply for admission by November 1 for the following academic year
• Scholarship application is due December 15
• Direct Undergraduate Freshman
• Eligible for the Honors Program
• Minimum cumulative GPA of at least 3.75 on a 4.0 scale
• Awarded through a competitive scholarship competition
• Renewable up to four years if student maintains a cumulative 3.0 GPA

3.Graduate -International Admissions Scholarship:

$2,000 per year with 3.5 GPA

• Students must have achieved the cumulative admission GPA indicated
• Students with graduate assistantships are not eligible
• Renewable annually through the length of the student’s original study plan, if the
student maintains a cumulative 2.75 GPA

4.Undergraduate -International Baccalaureate Scholarship:

$1,000

• Apply for admission by November 15 for the following academic year
• Direct Entry Freshmen who complete the IB Diploma Program or IB Career-Related Certificate Program
• Submit eligibility form online
• Academic credentials must be verified no later than July 15
• Awarded as funds are available
• One-time award

5.Undergraduate -Young America International Scholarship:

$5,000

• Complete application to Illinois State University and scholarship application by May 1
• Direct Entry Bachelor’s students only
• Application required
• Five scholarships will be awarded to high academically achieving students per year
• Only available for Fall intake
• One-time award

6.Undergraduate Pathway:

from $2250 to $9000

7.Graduate Pathway:

from $2000 to $8000
