About Faculty

According to Statista (2022), the number of employees in IT, software and computer services in the UK grew by 94% between 2011 and 2021. As society’s reliance on technology continues to increase, the opportunities for employment in this sector will only multiply.

At The University of Law, we specialise in practical degrees designed to prepare you for your future career. From September 2023, we’re extending this expertise to computing with the introduction of our new BSc (Hons) Computer Science course at our Leeds campus.

A degree in computer science is a solid foundation from which to build a career in cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, UX design or software development. Supported by expert tutors, and our award-winning Employability Service, you’ll gain the skills and expertise you need to pursue your chosen career.

Our degree is designed to introduce you to core computing principles in year one, while allowing you to specialise later in the course towards the discipline that you’re most interested in. In year two, you’ll also have the unique option to study modules from our BSc (Hons) Psychology degree, giving you the opportunity to explore the synergy between human behaviour and technological advancement.
