Physical Education

The Faculty of Physical Rehabilitation is a true flagship in teachers training in the field of physical education, sports and special education as well.

Among the students, teachers and graduates there are 16 Olympic champions who won 22 gold medals and 19 winners of different Olympic Games, 56 champions and winners of the World and European Championships, 31 honoured coachers and masters of sports of the USSR and Ukraine, 74 honoured men in education and sports of Ukraine.

The Faculty consists of 4 departments: Anatomy and Physiology, Sports and Pre-military service Training, Sport Games, Gymnastics, Physical Education. 9 Full Professors and Doctors of Science, 32 Associate Professors, Candidates of Science work at the departments. Scientific works of professors B.G. Sheremet,              O.P. Romanchuk, Y.O. Mikhalyov, F.I.Kazanzhy, V.G. Zharkov, A.I. Bosenko, O.M. Ovcharek and others are known to a wide range of researchers in the fields of Physical Education and Sports.

The Faculty provides the qualification of bachelors, specialists and masters in Physical Training; the scientific issues are systematically published; they are “Some Problems in Rehabilitation”, “The Adaptation Abilities of Children and Youth”, “Environmental Culture Education” etc. The Faculty offers training in the following specialties: “Physical Education at a Special Institution”, “Techniques of Executing Popular Sports”, “Defense of Fatherland”.
