The UA offers the only B.A. in Law degree in the country! Study core legal subjects taught by faculty in the James E. Rogers College of Law and the School of Government and Public Policy. Choose electives such as criminal law, immigration law, and international law.
As the first Bachelor of Arts in Law in the country, this degree is designed to meet the high demand for professionals with legal training across a wide spectrum of careers. Law provides the base for many professions, from human rights advocacy to politics, and the rigorous academics involved give students a highly sought-after set of skills. Undergraduates in the Law B.A. program, the first of its kind in the nation, receive instruction from faculty in the College of Law and the School of Government and Public Policy. Students learn key foundational aspects of law, such as criminal and civil procedure, contracts and torts, while specialized internships in real-world environments allow them to home in on areas of interest. Not only is this degree an essential component for careers in which legal training is a distinct advantage, but it also can provide an expedited path to law school or the university’s accelerated master’s option, where students can earn a Master of Legal Studies in just one extra semester
Law majors can apply to the College of Law and, if accepted, begin law school as seniors.
