About program
Become a leader in the field of health promotion, prevention and worksite wellness with a master’s degree from the University of West Florida. Help others adopt and maintain healthy lifestyles and live long, active lives.
What You Will Learn
You will learn to design, implement and evaluate health promotion interventions within the community and the workplace. You will explore topics related to individual and group health behaviors and learn techniques to apply health promotion knowledge to diverse populations.
Our curriculum will expose you to a variety of health issues. You will then apply theoretical concepts in the health promotion planning process. You can then further specialize your course of studies by choosing electives in areas that interest you, in close consultation with your advisor.
You’ll be able to assist people in the community and employees in staying healthy, fit and lowering stress, along with topics across the social and psychological sphere of health education.
