Global citizens and problem-solvers are in demand in today’s world. A master’s in international affairs from the University of West Florida will provide you with the training you need to confront the challenges of an increasingly globalized world.
Our program focuses on security studies and diplomacy. You will delve into international politics, including relations between countries; trade and diplomatic negotiations; foreign policy; military conflict and engagement; and the processes of policy-making and strategic decision-making.
Our faculty have academic and career expertise in international politics, intelligence, naval war power, foreign policy, international conflict, extremism and political violence, and national security policy.
You may choose a thesis option or a non-thesis option. The non-thesis option is capped with a comprehensive examination, both written and oral.
The degree is offered face-to-face and synchronously online. Students can apply for a graduate assistantship to work with faculty on research, with a half tuition waiver and additional hourly pay.
